About the Role
This role is part of Uber's Finance Operations - Order to Cash Service Delivery team that manages B2B Collections for all lines of business to ensure Uber Credit, Collection, and Billing processes operate efficiently while we attempt to collect overdue balances from our B2B Customers worldwide!
What You'll Do
Credit Card Account Monitoring:
Regularly review credit card transactions and account balances to identify delinquent accounts.
Monitor payment patterns and history to proactively address potential issues.
Collections Strategy:
Develop and implement collection strategies to recover outstanding credit card balances while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Collaborate with the credit department to assess credit risk and set appropriate credit limits.
Customer Communication:
Initiate and maintain communication with customers regarding their outstanding credit card balances.
Provide assistance to customers to resolve payment issues and inquiries.
Payment Reconciliation:
Reconcile payments received with outstanding balances to ensure accurate account records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or payment disputes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities and customer interactions.
Generate reports on collection performance, trends, and metrics for management review.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to credit card collections.
Stay informed about industry practices and changes in collection regulations.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Basic Qualifications:
6+ years of demonstrated ability, with progressive experience in Credit Card Collections and reconciliation
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred)
Post-grad degree desirable
Proven experience in credit card collections or a similar role.
Strong understanding of credit card payment processes and regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Familiarity with collections software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
Diligent with a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented attitude.
Experience in working in an ERP, preferably Oracle or SAP, with a track record of making efficiency-saving operational improvements.
Strong customer service experience and ability to balance achieving internal targets while providing a positive customer experience.
Ability to work with large amounts of data
Strong Stakeholder management skills
For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $88,500 per year - $98,750 per year.
