I am thrilled to share the incredible insights I've uncovered through my thorough analysis of the Brazilian E-Commerce Public Dataset by Olist using PowerBI and the dataset was provided by Quantum Analytics. I dove deep into the data, dissecting 100,000 orders made between 2016 and 2018 across various marketplaces in Brazil after cleaning the dataset using the Power Query tool. The results, which are mind-boggling and an invaluable information, can shape the future of Olist! This analysis, powered by PowerBI, provides a strategic roadmap for Olist's future endeavors. The potential for growth and development is limitless. As we move forward, these insights will undoubtedly shape smarter business decisions and drive Olist towards unparalleled success in the Brazilian E-Commerce landscape. Here's a glimpse of what I've discovered: 1️⃣ Explosive Growth: The Payment Value experienced an astounding 1,984.60% increase, and the number of customers skyrocketed by a staggering 635,000.00% between September 2016 and August 2018. 2️⃣ Product Categories: Health & Beauty emerged as the leader, accounting for a significant 9.09% of the total sales with a Sum of price reaching 1,235,353.53. On the flip side, Security & Services lagged behind with the lowest Sum of price at 283.29. 3️⃣ Delivery Dynamics: We identified trends in delivery performance, including a noteworthy drop in Late Deliveries from 570 to 3 between June 2018 and October 2018. OnTimeDelivery, while generally on track, experienced a minor anomaly in October 2016. 4️⃣ Payment Insights: Credit card payments dominated, constituting a substantial 78.34% of the total Payment Value. My findings offer a wealth of opportunities for Olist. To leverage these insights, I recommend: ✅ Optimizing Delivery: With a focus on reducing late deliveries, Olist can enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring timely order fulfillment. ✅ Product Diversification: While Health & Beauty products are performing exceptionally well, exploring other product categories might tap into new markets and boost overall sales. ✅ Payment Strategies: Given the prevalence of credit card payments, Olist could consider tailor-made offers or discounts for customers using this mode, encouraging more transactions. ✅ Continuous Monitoring: Keeping an eye on anomalies, especially in delivery metrics, can help Olist maintain consistency and reliability in its services.
