I am thrilled to share fascinating insights from my PowerBI analysis of restaurant ratings in Mexico! 🇲🇽 The dataset is rich with real consumer reviews since 2012 and has opened a window into consumer preferences, demographics, and market dynamics. The dataset was cleaned using Power Query. 🔍 Key Insights Uncovered: 1️⃣ Consumer Impact on Ratings: Analysis shows that among 128 customers, single individuals contribute more actively than the 10 married customers, revealing patterns that can guide restaurants in meeting diverse consumer preferences. 2️⃣ Diverse Demographics: The largest group, comprising 113 individuals, are students, highlighting a varied demographic. However, the small representation of unemployed consumers (2 individuals) suggests a potential bias in the sample that warrants further investigation. 3️⃣ Regional Rating Variances: Cuernavaca leads with the highest average overall rating (1.38/2), while Ciudad Victoria has the lowest (0.93). Recognizing these regional differences opens strategic opportunities for targeted market approaches. 4️⃣ Consumer Distribution Across Cities: San Luis Potosi, with 86 consumers (62% of the total), emerges as a dining hub, while Jiutepec has the fewest consumers at 5 (3.6% of the total). Investors can use this data to identify cities with untapped potential. 5️⃣ Restaurant Performance: Cuernavaca's Restaurant Las Mananitas excels with the highest ratings (2/2), showcasing success.
