Esprit Curieux - Curious Mind I've finally managed to create my own logo to develop my own personal brand under my name! I've also started to get the hang of Adobe Illustrator too - and I love how it came out! I feel the color scheme and paper crane illustration combined with the gradients help piece together a representation of my artwork as well as my personality.
I love themes of duality - so naturally, I incorporated it here.
The trickiest part was getting the gradients just right to imitate reflective lighting. Initially, I applied this light pastel gradient to the entire illustration - but then I found the crane's right half was hard to see, hence I decided to replace the gradient with solid while lines to make it distinguishable without adding too much contrast.
"esprit curieux" means "curious mind" in French.
Initially, I was going to make that phrase the name of my brand - but I realized I was setting the brand up to be very difficult to pronounce.
I spent hours researching potential names for my brand. Eventually, I settled with using my name because it's not uncommon for brands to feature the name of their creator. Additionally, I'm hoping this can be a good start as a base brand before I potentially start other endeavors.
Plus, I have an uncommon surname - so it's very unlikely my name will conflict with other brands who could potentially share the same name.
Any and all feedback is appreciated!
