About

Hi! I´m Carla SB (also known as Carla Saavedra B), a designer and illustrator who channels the child in me through delightful and whimsical illustrations. Born in Bolivia and based in São Paulo since 2005, I started out my career as a filmmaker, directing award-winning short films and writing for animated shows. Despite always enjoying storytelling in its different forms, it took me a while to find my true calling as an illustrator. In 2020 I was able to illustrate my first children´s book for a small publisher and, since then, I haven´t looked back! Focusing mainly on digital illustration, I´ve worked for a couple of publishers in Brazil and Bolivia, as well as for independent authors around the globe.
