Dear Hiring Company,
My name is Eloghene, a female tech enthusiast and a result oriented
web designer and web developer. I am excited to apply for this position in
your company because I consider it an opportunity for me to bear-out my
potentials and also improve my tech skills. I am very committed to personal
growth and impoving my tech skills because I love to work on interesting and
challenging projects and I am determined to ensure that clients are always
satis ed with my work.
I am very attentive to corrections and observations from team members, team
heads and supervisors. By being attentive, I can learn, improve and deliver.
Having to repeat tasks when necessary is not a problem at all because I nd it
important to prioritize getting it right and ensuring that my task do not a ect
the project negatively.
My tech journey began in 2016 after graduating as a Nurse from a renowned
university in Nigeria. Despite graduating as the third best in my faculty, I was
quite unwilling to practice Nursing becaue I wasn’t passionate about it. So I
began to look out for what I'd enjoy doing. Amidst that, I observed that I felt
alot comfortable with anything that had to do with tech. I enjoyed watching
tech related videos and attending tech related events. So, I thought to give
tech a shot. I took up an internship program with a tech company in Nigeria.
There I was exposed to UI/UX and graphics design. I learnt how to use
Figma as well as other tools for graphic design.
At the end of the eight months internship program I was served an employment letter that stated that I was considered because they were intrigued with
my committment, passion and dedication to self improvement. They added
that they'd like to give me an opportunity to further improve myself and be
an example to other females who think that tech has no place for them. Apparently, I was the only female intern and the rst female they’ve had around
the company, with my kind of passion for tech and self improvement.
I took up the job and was further trained to design stunning websites using
WordPress. I did so well and have been giving several opportunities to lead
the web design team on countless projects. Afterwards I began to feel limited
by WordPress and wanted to do my own designs from scratch. That's how I
began to learn web development from front-end to back-end. I joined the
Web Dev team in the company and have workex on projects with them.
Through the journey I have faced challenges but each one had helped me
improve my abilities and coding skills. I learnt to debug, to make researches,
to dedicate myself to practicing, and to improve myself on data structures and
algorithms. Yet I feel there's more I can learn and so much more I can do
with the skills I have acquired.
Working with your company as a web developer will open me to acquiring
alot more experience, inspire me to push my limits and enble me to further
put my skills to use.
I am very teachable, I listen, I'm loyal, I don't give excuses and I'm very result
oriented. For me everything is possible with dedication, right knowledge,
skills and determination.
