Writing is my passion in life, especially after being a drunk did nothing but get me into trouble. As far as I know I haven't been in trouble through my writing yet.
I was born in San Francisco in 1958 and my parents moved up to Washington State in 1960 where I stayed until April of this year when my wife convinced me to move to Gooding, Idaho. Never heard of it? Good, until ten years ago, neither had I.
I did the public education thing and graduated from high school in 1979. I then tried to decide what I wanted to do with my life that gave me a place to live and pay bills. I went to Washington State University from 1984 until 1987 where I got a BA in English. I wrote voraciously mostly because I minored in Journalism too.
Once again, I didn't get the dream job that I had hoped for and had to settle on jobs that were not part of my degree. But i continued writing, mostly for fun because I had no desire of facing rejection notices.
In 2002 after moving up to Spokane, I had a stroke due to my alcoholism. I made a decision not to drink and have been sober since.
I decided to write about that experience and got a vanity press to print "This Life: My Life after My Stroke in 2012. In 2017 the fiction writers' group I belonged to published "It Gets Darker as You Go," an anthoolgy of paranormal short stories. In 2018 and 2019 I self published two books of short stories called "Four Seasons: Edge of Darkness," and "Four Seasons: Search for Justice."
This last year I got a publisher, Austin Macauley to publish "A Man's Passion," about racial justice in America.
