I was born, raised and educated in India. I have spent my childhood in Assam, a place surrounded by mountains, woods, lakes, fields and farms and I have always enjoyed painting the environment. As a child, I loved to draw and paint, and read picture books.

I went to Visva Bharati University and studied sculpture. After that, I studied animation (pre-production) and started working as an illustrator in an indie publishing house. I moved to the USA after working as an illustrator for a few years and started working as a freelance illustrator. I have illustrated over 10 books and continue to do so. I absolutely love working with watercolors, but I also use digital media. I have a book dummy that I will be happy to show you if you are interested.

​I live in Parlin, NJ, a beautiful town near the Atlantic Ocean. I live with my two daughters and we love spending time painting and reading picture books. When I am not illustrating, I am either walking on the beach or embroidering little wall hangings.
