My name is Meyling Largaespada and I’m a graduate professional from Managua, Nicaragua. I hold a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a postgraduate degree in International Development Cooperation. I’m a native Spanish speaker and I speak English as a second language. I’ve been working as a professional translator since 2013, translating different kinds of content including educational material (workbooks and teacher resources), books, academic, scientific and business reports, history, subtitles, interviews, and health care content, among others. In 2015, I started working on transcreation projects, adapting content from English to Spanish (LATAM) while maintaining the existing tone, intent, context and style. Throughout my professional career, I’ve worked with multiple clients from around the world and several translation agencies. I’ve learned to be detail-oriented, proactive, persistent, communicative and organized. I’ve developed a high sense of accountability and I’m able to work under little supervision. I have the ability to work with multiple projects at the same time and coordinate tasks with team members.
