A 23-year-old Galway tech graduate who developed an app that enables students to safely hail a cab even without cash, a bank card, or a phone is in line to become a Nissan Generation Next ambassador. Richard Commins of Claregalway has been selected as one of the 20 finalists submitted to the competition's public voting stage, and he is now just one step away from receiving the keys to a brand-new Nissan that is insured and taxed and that he can drive for a year.
