About
In order to be efficient and effective in any organisation, one needs to possess certain personal and professional attributes that would enable the learners have a well-rounded learning experience and to foster a conducive environment.
The ability to have a cordial relationship with your learners aids in the openness and readiness of learners to comprehend and appreciate the language. This is the bedrock of any effective teacher such that the learner will be able to understand his/ her teacher and quiproquo. I possess strong qualities such as empathy, compassion and patience which are strong suits in understanding the uniqueness of each of my learners. I pride myself on having an in-depth knowledge of each of my learners and working with their learning pace. This was achieved by drafting individualized teaching techniques such as crossword puzzles and other learning aids in French for vocabulary building.
Over the years of teaching French as a foreign language, my passion for french has enabled me exhibit a strong grasp of the knowledge and skills required and I have learnt to transfer my mastery of French to my learners through the use of fun games, rhymes, interactive tutorials, vocabulary building charts and storytelling. My passion for the language has also helped me in being receptive to appreciating the culture and civilisation of the French.
I adopted some teaching techniques which enhanced the assimilation of the language learning like; flipped method of learning. This is where the learners are given keywords to research on and present it during the next period. This is mostly suitable for learners between the ages of 9 - 17 years. This method helps to conceptualize certain complex topics. The use of interactive boards and discussion tools to highlight visual and auditory teaching materials. Also with the use of some technological apps such as classDojo, Duolingo, Zoom and so on, I have been able to follow up on progress of my learners outside the classroom, especially during this period of COVID 19 where virtual learning has become the new normal.
The use of a wider range of different curricula will also broaden my knowledge of international learning goals while employing certain thematic units to suit the needs of learners in listening and conversational French.
I have equally garnered experiences in co-ordinating external exams.
I possess leadership skills and a strong work ethic which i am exhibiting in my present place of work.
Finally, I am ready to learn and relearn from your establishment knowing that it is an international school with high standards, state of the art infrastructure and a unique vision.
